IRON ORE

Iron ores are rocks and minerals from which metallic iron can be economically extracted. The ores are usually rich in iron oxides and vary in color from dark grey, bright yellow, or deep purple to rusty red.

Most iron ores mined today comprise the iron oxide minerals hematite, Fe2O3 (70% Fe); goethite, Fe2O3s H2O, (63% Fe); limonite, a mixture of hydrated iron oxides (up to 60% Fe); and magnetite, Fe3O4 (72% Fe).

Ores containing very high quantities of hematite or magnetite (greater than about 60% iron) are known as “natural ore” or “direct shipping ore”, meaning they can be fed directly into iron-making blast furnaces.

MINE TEK is supporting Iron ores from a variety of grades between 52% and 64%.

IRON ORE CONCENTRATE

Iron ore concentrate is used as a metallurgic raw material in iron smelting. Iron ore concentrate recovery is based on magnetic beneficiating methods. Produced by open-cast mining.

Iron ore concentrates contain between 66 and 69.5% Fe, depending on the grade. The concentrates are non-toxic, non-flammable and non-explosive. The concentrate is supplied as a commodity and is used as a semi-finished product for the production of blast furnace pellets and pellets for metallisation.

MINE TEK is supporting Iron ores concentrates from a variety of grades between 66% and 69% with both sinter feed and pellet feed characteristics.

IRON ORE PELLET

Iron ore pellets are spheres of typically 6–16 mm to be used as raw material for blast furnaces. They typically contain around 65%-67% Fe and various additional material adjusting the chemical composition and the metallurgic properties of the pellets.

Mn ORE

Mine Tek Limited sources Manganese Ore from our reliable partners in Brazil as an off take agreements. We therefore have stable supply throughout the entire year and our tonnages are between 55,000 Mts to 95,000 Mtd depending on the port of loading in Brazil.

We Source Mn ore from 27% content and SiO2 over 25% and also another source of Ore from to 38% Plus for export to mainly Chinese, Indian and European markets.

We have invested in Machineries and precision equipment's to successfully improve quality. Our long term plan is to establish as one of the main exporters of Manganese ore from Brazil to various destinations.
